Saturday, November 8th, is the date for the 2025 Fremont Hornets Tri-City Classic Seventeen, the 17th annual show of the Fremont Hornets chapter of the International Plastic Modelers Society. This is an event where members display their model works and enter them for competition. While the name of the organization suggests it’s specifically for plastic models, the organization actually welcomes models from all types of materials including plastic, metal, resin, paper, wood, etc.
Again this year, Tri-City Classic XVII takes place at the Fremont Elks Lodge, located at 28991 Farwell Drive, Fremont, CA. The event runs from 9:00am to 4:30pm on Saturday, June 14h.
The South Bay Model Shipwrights club has been maintaining a presence at these functions as much as possible in order to gain exposure to the general public, and to try to interest model builders in ship modeling and in our club. We’ll have our own table at the event, so please come by and say hello!
