The South Bay Model Shipwrights is a group of ship modeling enthusiasts who meet to share and discuss information on the art of ship modeling.
At our meetings, we discuss model construction, current events, history, and archaeology, bringing our in-progress models, tools, books, and new kits to show and discuss.
Occasionally, we are invited to attend public events where we get to show off our work, talk with the public, introduce new people to the art of ship modeling, and from time to time recruit a new member or two.
Our club often receives donations of a variety of Ship Model Kits, books, and plans that we make available to our members. We also receive partially built model from time to time and encourage our members to take them to work on.
Our members also benefit from our monthly newsletter The Foghorn, which keeps us informed of club events, ship modeling news, and other significant information.
